We had fun watching our lady bugs, but the time soon came to let them go. We opened up Lady Bug Land and the ladies scrambled out of it so fast we could almost here them yelling, "Freeeeedom!" I did manage to capture a few pictures before they crawled away for good.
Chloe and I finished reading These Happy Golden Years by Laura Ingalls Wilder. Sighing a contented sigh when it was finished, Chloe said she was sad that the reading was done. I hope she will one day read the series again for herself!
Math for the 2010-11 school year is a thing of the past for Grant as of this week. The girls still have a little math left to complete. Abby aced her last science test. Way to end General Science, Abby! We feel like we are in semi summer vacation mode already except that the weather isn't quite cooperating with that summer feel. As I write this post, the temperature is 46 degrees outside. Come on summer, we are ready for ya! One week left and we are free from school work for the summer. Yippee!

Setting ladybugs free sounds like a great way to celebrate the school year coming to an end!
That's funny the ladybugs zoomed out of there. When I did mine, they would not leave! We watched them for 20 minutes. I finally left them alone and went to work and they were gone when I got back.
