Watercolor in the Style of Monet

Not a subject that I make a priority every year, art is a subject I enjoy having in our curriculum line-up.  This year, I've been doing some art and music appreciation in co-op.

Wanting to do a project in the style of Monet, I turned to my favorite blog for some help:  Art Projects for Kids.  Kathy Barbro has many watercolor projects I had been wanting to try with the kids, and this one was fun and easy.
Nice job, Chloe!

We also enjoyed a couple of books about Monet.  Each book, illustrated in the style of Monet, helped us to learn a little bit more about the man who was a founder of French Impressionist painting.
Monet Paints a Day and A Blue Butterfly

We even managed to get a notebook page on Monet finished for Chloe's notebook!
