Another week of 2012 just flew by! Abby has worked diligently for many weeks now on her Poetic Language lapbook she is making from material in Figuratively Speaking. I thought she did a smashing job! She chose her own booklet shapes, color scheme, and layout. I only told her which pages to complete and which terms to do examples and definitions for.

Clever but silly little rhyme she made up
We have struggled a little this year to find great books set in the middle ages that we haven't already read. Grant is really enjoying this one--The Cross of Lead. Finally, a winner!
This is what is left of our Valentine's Day snow. Only in ABQ can six inches of snow fall and be almost melted the next morning! My kind of snow. :) Grant and Chloe enjoyed playing this week in what was left.
Snow ball fort...
…for a snowball fight...
…with a willing sister.
Happy weekend everyone!

Your daughter did a great job on her lap book. We're going to be using Figurative Language a bit later this year, I think a lap book will add some interest to it. Thanks for sharing.
How fun, you all had some snow. All we got were some flurries.
Love the lapbook! The snowball fight looks fun too!
