Chloe girl's favorite subject? Science. She must not be related to me. Seriously though, she loves it. We used Apologia's Exploring Creation with Zoology 3 this year to learn about all kinds of mammals, reptiles, insects, and even dinosaurs. Okay, so the insect part did not thrill Chloe, but she came through those lessons bravely with a little help from sticky notes placed strategically over the spider pictures. (So maybe she is related to me after all.)
For her final project, she chose to do an interactive poster on tigers. Featured among the tiger facts, baby tigers, which caught her fancy, found a prominent place on the poster board. Tiger scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby gave her just the creative outlet she was looking for while designing her project.
Chloe loves the Apologia series of books, and we have both learned a lot by reading through them. The notebook journal that comes with each book has been a great resource as well. Inside the journal, Chloe must answer questions, write summaries, complete copywork, draw diagrams and pictures, and solve crossword puzzles. Because she is motivated by the topics, Chloe is willing to tackle these exercises largely on her own. Thank you Apologia!
| See the ugly spider on the front cover? A book cover from the store solved that little problem. |

The tiger poster is very nice, but I would really like to see a spider poster.
