Weekly Report

Another good week at the Bamberg homeschool. This is Abby's drawing from Sketch Tuesday at this site called "Out of the Shadows".

The three oldest kids started on a new typing program this year.

We scavenged the bouquet from this post to do some nature printing in art which you can read more about here.

The kids did a good job finding something to add to their nature journals. Grant really wanted to draw the lizard with the metallic blue tail that we found, but the lizard scurried into the Juniper bushes before we could get a good look at him or even a good photo.

I swallowed my fear of messes and let the kids get out the tempera paints to do some nature prints. I was glad I did! They made some really neat pictures and had a great time doing it. They even experimented with mixing the colors to make new shades, tints, and colors. Chloe summed up the lesson by saying "Mommy, you know that painting is messy, so just remember that!"
