Weekly Report: Spring Break

We have been on spring break this week! The kids have been busy doing things they enjoy like sleeping late. Well, not just sleeping in, but also roller blading, reading, eating popsicles, and writing a script for their new movie.

When we get a moment, we've been watching our Painted Lady butterfly larvae grow. You can see here how we got started with this.

Allison painted a jewelry box for herself.

Abby is honing her sewing skills by making Chloe a shorts outfit for her doll.

Chloe is working on a spring lapbook.
Grant has been creating with Legos as usual. He has also been running to get in shape for his new flag football team. I've been dusting things that I don't normally have time to dust, and decluttering the house--a monthly event around here with 6 people in the family.

My favorite part of the week starts tomorrow when I get to spend all day at the homeschool convention! I've been homeschooling long enough now that the convention no longer overwhelms me. I look forward to going in order to gain new ideas, recharge my desire to teach my children at home, and visit with friends. I get to spend some time with my sister-in-law who lives in another city, and the kids can spend time with their cousins. I'm looking forward to the weekend!
