Here are a few of the contestants.
See Chloe's peppermint stick at bottom right.
One mighty proud boy! Grant had never won anything at a Derby. After years of watching all three of his sisters take home trophies, this year, he got one of his own. His Dole banana car took first place for the fastest car at the Derby this year! Way to go, Grant!!
The judges have a hard job trying to decide on winners of design. Thanks to all our judges this year! Abby took home a Crunch bar as honorable mention for her cruise ship car. Abby worked very hard on the details of this car. Looks great, Abby!
Allison placed first in design for the "Black Pearl". Can't you just imagine Captain Jack Sparrow aboard this ship? Fantastic job, Allison!
And, now for a parade of the cars so you can see them up close.
Allison made 93 cupcakes for Derby day. She recruited Abby, Grant, and Chloe to help. Thanks kids! They look great.
