Summer Antics

The summer is quickly slipping away. I can tell because not only are school supplies on a rockin' good sale right now, but also, I find a curriculum catalog in my mailbox almost daily that reminds me to purchase books and get a schedule going for the new school year. But, the Bamberg household can't let go of summer. We haven't finished our summer fun yet. Today, we went to Chick-Fil-A for lunch just because we could.

Working diligently on her last hour of reading for our summer reading program, Chloe sports her new reading glasses.

Grant has read above and beyond his required reading this summer and has earned some extra treats. He has lots of time to build with Legos too.

Snickers is hot and just wants a tummy rub. All.day.long.

Our whole family waits in anticipation for the movie release of "The Hobbit" at the end of the year. Abby doesn't want Chloe to miss out, so she's reading the story to her.

And Allison? Still editing, of course. She's hit a snag and that's delaying things a bit, but we hope to get things fixed soon so that "Murder at the Masquerade" can be released for viewing.

We can't let go of the summer either. And why should we? That is a perk of homeschooling, isn't it?

Phyllis,

Yes! Another reason that I love homeschooling.
