Weekly Report

Today, I want to share the art project that the kids completed this week. Several years ago, I purchased some inexpensive Christmas stamps at a craft supply store. We used them
to make our own Christmas cards and some thank you notes that we'll need after Christmas.

I started the kids off with a half sheet of folded cardstock and a paper plate for a palette for their tempera paints. They dipped the stamp carefully into the paint, and stamped the design onto the card.

Then came the fun part! I love glitter glue for its ease of use and clean-up, but sometimes just plain old, loose glitter adds excitement to a project. The kids carefully sprinkled glitter onto their wet paint designs.

I'll share later a couple of tips for how to use loose glitter without too much of a mess. The kids now have a great start to some needed cards and had a great time making them!
