Tonight was a typical evening. Allison looking at cake decorating ideas on the computer. Abby watching Grant and Kyle playing baseball on the Wii. Chloe snuggled up next to me on the couch while I read e-mail on my laptop.
The baseball game is a new addition to the Wii line-up, and when played, makes Grant late for bed because it is apparently both rip roaring fun and hilarious at the end of the game. Thus the conversation that ensued.
Me: Alright boys, bedtime needs to be 9:30 for the kids tonight, so start finishing up that game.
Abby: (sarcastically) That game won't be over for awhile.
Chloe: (Indignant) Abby! Momma can tell everyone what to do. Besides, she's older than Daddy!
Me: Ahem. Well, you don't have to remind everyone of that!
