One of Chloe's favorite past times is talking. She especially likes to corner me in the kitchen and talk to me while I'm making dinner. The following was our conversation tonight.
Chloe: (with a sing-songy voice) My birthday is January 24th! Momma? What time period was that?
Me: Do you mean what time period were you born in?
Chloe: Yes.
Me: Well, I guess the modern time period.
Chloe: No! I mean what time period?
Me: (thinking hard for a minute about this) Oh! Do you mean what year were you born in? 2004.
Seriously, we must talk about history a lot around here.
Next conversation.
Chloe: I would be a really good commercial person for yogurt and juice.
Me: Why is that?
Chloe: Because I love yogurt and juice
Me: (concentrating more on dinner than our conversation) Oh.
Chloe: (in her best professional sounding TV voice) I could say, "Boston cream pie yogurt! See my smile when I eat it?" People would see me smiling and would want to buy the yogurt.
Don't you already have a hankering for Boston cream pie flavored yogurt?
