Maui 2015

One week ago today, our family arrived home from an amazing vacation in Maui.  We spent days one and two trying to adjust to Hawaii time as well as being amazed at the colors that were leaping out at us everywhere we went.  Desert dwellers don't see much more than brown!  We also began to notice how good the food tasted with fresh fruit and fruit juices abounding.  We ate pizza and sandwiches with fresh pineapple on them for lunch one day, and had the most amazing pies at Leoda's Kitchen and Pie Shop---chocolate macadamia nut, banana cream, and coconut cream.  Yum!
Kaanapali Royal:  Our view from our condo on the golf course.  See the ocean behind the palm trees?

Chloe and David

Chloe wading in--some siblings and cousins off to the left.

David buried Chloe in the sand which is only fun when you are 11.  :)

Abby taking a break from the waves.

Sharing a photo moment while eating Hawaiian shaved ice.

Everyone who had been to Hawaii before suggested that we not miss a cup of Hawaiian shaved ice.  Now I know why!  YUMMY!

A view of the swimming pool from our condo.  We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub in the evenings while the kids went swimming.

Maui Ocean Center:  Nana was talking to this fish.  It seemed to like her!

Our trip to the Maui Ocean Center our second day on Maui allowed us some needed rest as we continued to recover from the flight.

Cousins!

Days three and four to come.....
