This week went by fast and furious. We did add Sketch Tuesday back into our schedule. The kids had fun drawing "something with whiskers".

Chloe gets discouraged about her drawings because they don't turn out like the big kids'. I guess that's the price she has to pay for being the baby. She didn't like her cat, so I told her we would work on some drawing lessons and pulled out my collection of Draw, Write, Now books. I started with Book 1. She was not pleased with her first attempt at a hen and her chicks, so I encouraged her that no artist is happy with his work the first time and that practice makes perfect. She was not impressed with my speech. I told her to leave the drawing until tomorrow when she could try again. I told her to find something she didn't like about her first try and change it. Today, she came to me with an entirely new drawing. This one, she was proud of, and rightly so. Great job Chloe!

Chloe! That is a great drawing. I don't think I could do that good myself. Congratulations. Good job to Allison, Abby and Grant too.

Heehee, no, we don't start early. I have another day left of this week, but I'm going to be gone most of the weekend for a ladies' retreat, thus the early post.

How fun! The cats are all great. My youngest is also easily frustrated with his drawings. :-( Miss Cloe's cat and hen are great!

I love the idea of sketch Tuesday, but Rocket Boy would think it was permission to sketch all day! It's great to see little ones figuring out how to draw, she did a great job!
My girls are always hared on themselves in the art department. I love the Draw Write Now books, your kids are doing so well!
I think Chloe did a fabulous job! Much better than my drawing would have been ;-)
