This book is Chloe's picture book pick for the week. We will soon be studying slavery and the Civil War in history, so I picked up this book at the library for a gentle introduction of these topics for kindergarten. Since we just finished reading lots of books about apples and autumn, this book ties in nicely. A newly published book, An Apple for Harriet Tubman highlights the little known fact that Tubman loved apples. Read the book to find out why!
