I've been wanting for several months now to blog about a movie the kids made back in the fall for their school project. I had some trouble getting the clip small enough to upload to Blogger. I've figured that out now, but still don't know how to make it more clear. So, until I find out how to get my videos to show up more clearly, they will be a little blurry.
I assigned the three older children a history project in October. Their assignment: Create a way to show me what you know about the Colonial time period. I gave no other instruction knowing their creativity would have a chance to soar. Well, the results astounded us! They decided to make a movie and keep their movie making idea a complete secret from their parents. They borrowed our clothes, they made costumes, and shot film inside and outside of the house--all under the secret guise of "playing". Why I never noticed that they had also borrowed my video camera, took the keyboard out of my room, and a myriad of other details is beyond me except that I really am not a very observant person. Ha!
Colonial dinner night came one Friday night in November. Kyle and I were instructed to sit on the couch and watch the show. Not until Allison hooked up the video camera to the TV did we figure out that they had produced a movie--"A Walk Through Time". We laughed so hard at so many things that we had to watch it a second time to see the parts we missed because of our laughter. The following is just a clip from Abby's VIP interview of Squanto AKA Allison. If you make it to the end, you'll get a good laugh. Enjoy!

Probably he was Tania. Later on in the movie, Grant has different roles too. I had no idea he could act, but he does a great job. I just couldn't find a clip of all three of them together.
That was awesome! Way to go you guys! I wish I could have been there to help you when you made it, that sounds like lots of fun!!!
